The New Zealand Games Association (NZGA) was founded in 2007. It aims to encourage the development of the game industry in Aotearoa New Zealand. Each year, a panel of teachers (and sometimes students) judge a selection of NZ games. The NZGA awards prizes to the winners of three categories: “New Game of the Year”, “Teacher’s Choice Award” and the “Children’s Choice Award”.

Kiwi Quiz won the Children’s Choice Award in 2010 and the Teachers Choice Award in 2011. Time Zone won the Children’s Choice Award in 2011.
